Services

Our Services

At Mercyland Healthcare Inc. we believe true care goes beyond services—it’s about building lives, creating independence, and nurturing purpose. Every service we provide is rooted in Person-Centered Thinking, honoring each person’s goals, preferences, and unique journey.

Our services are primarily covered by Medicaid, ensuring that individuals and families can access the care and support they need. For those who prefer or require alternative payment options, we also gladly accept self-pay, providing flexible solutions to meet a variety of needs and circumstances.

In-Home Support

We support individuals living in their own homes or with family by providing hands-on care, daily living support, and skill-building activities. From hygiene assistance to community integration, our team helps individuals grow in self-reliance and independence. We also provide High Acuity In-Home Support for those with more complex medical or behavioral needs. Services are delivered in-person or remotely, depending on the individual’s preference and team recommendations.

Respite Care (Hourly & Daily)

Caring for a loved one with IDD is a labor of love—and sometimes, caregivers need rest too. Our respite services provide trusted, short-term care while ensuring individuals stay safe, engaged, and active in their routines. Available by the hour or day, we make it possible for families to take a break while knowing their loved one is in good hands.

Companion Services

Our companion care is more than supervision—it’s about meaningful presence. Whether it’s a quiet evening at home or a stroll in the park, we provide non-medical support and engagement that respects the individual’s pace and preferences. Services are available one-on-one or in small groups (1:3), tailored to each person’s safety, independence, and interests.

Individualized Day Services (IDS)**

Mercyland’s IDS program brings **learning, growth, and connection into the heart of the community**. These 100% community-based activities are personalized to the individual’s passions—be it volunteering, exploring hobbies, or developing new skills. We support those transitioning from day programs, entering retirement, or simply seeking a smaller, tailored environment. Available 1:1 or in small peer-matched groups.

Behavioral Support Services

Our behavioral support goes beyond managing behavior—it’s about empowering lasting change. We offer tiered services (low, moderate, intensive) to help individuals build healthy habits, manage challenges, and thrive. Services may be delivered in-person or remotely to ensure flexibility while preserving progress, dignity, and stability.

Health and Wellness

At Mercyland, wellness is about **living fully, not just being well**. Our nutrition and health support services help individuals make choices that improve their emotional, physical, and daily life. Plans are tailored to what matters most to the person—whether it’s maintaining mobility, cooking healthier meals, or simply feeling better in their day-to-day life.

Host Home Services

We carefully match individuals with loving, supportive host families who offer a safe, stable home-like environment. Here, people can participate in everyday life—cooking, shopping, attending events, managing money—and build a life of dignity and belonging. It’s more than housing—it’s home, community, and connection.

Employment Services

Employment Readiness help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) prepare for success in the workforce. We provide training in essential work skills such as communication, decision-making, budgeting, workplace etiquette, safety, and interviewing. Services also support interpersonal relationships, travel training, self-advocacy, and independence. With remote employment supports, participants benefit from virtual coaching, job-readiness training, regular check-ins, and on-demand assistance. These flexible services can be delivered in-person, remotely, or in a hybrid format for greater accessibility. MHI equips every individual with the tools to achieve competitive, integrated employment and meaningful community participation..

Assistive Technology Services

Our Assistive Technology (AT) Services identify and provide support tools and devices that enhance independence, communication, mobility, and safety. Whether it’s a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS), adapted communication equipment, or smart-home sensors, MHI integrates AT into remote support plans to reduce caregiver dependence and boost client autonomy.
